Montessori Golden Bead Material: This exercise is mainly for children between age group 4 to 4 ½
years of age. The main purpose of this system is to introduce the child to the
concept of decimal system, to teach the children the differences in bulk such
as units, tens, hundreds and thousands and to make them familiar with the
different names and relative sizes of the categories.
Dot Exercise: This activity is practised for children of 4 ½ years of age. This is generally done to introduce the child
to the 10,000 place value. It also helps them to learn other valuable concepts
in Mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It
therefore helps them to work with larger numbers.
Centesimal circle &
Protractor: This is basically used to demonstrate
how the angles are measured in degrees, to introduce to the concept of angles
and degrees and the centesimal circle and Protractor provides a visual
reference to everything, how a whole can be divided into fractions for further
geometrical studies.
Decimal Fraction Exercise
and Fraction Board: This exercise is basically done
to teach the children the concept of the decimal fraction system in detail and
to teach them the differences between units, tens, hundreds and thousands. This
is for children of 4 years and above.
Hook Eye & Dressing
Frame: It generally consists of one hook and eye
frame. It generally requires the child to hook and unhook the clothing tied to
the clothing. It helps them to dress themselves independently and thus it also
helps them in acquiring coordination of movement.
